Plans have been submitted to Kingston Council for a major redevelopment of Chessington World of Adventures by owners Merlin Entertainments. Luxury developers London Square has purchased the Grade II listed County Hall in Kingston, the former headquarters of Surrey County Council. The site already has planning permission for the refurbishment, restoration and extension to create 292 new homes – a mix of 256 private and 36 affordable, plus 4,408 sqm of commercial space.
