Annual General Meeting

Annual General Meeting

Tuesday 17th June, 7.30pm

We are looking forward to holding our 48th AGM in our 50th year. The venue is the Methodist Church Hall, Moor Lane, Chessington KT9 2JD.

We have two interesting speakers:

Grant Henderson of Your Healthcare CIC. Your Healthcare is a provider of integrated health and social care, commissioned by the NHS to deliver NHS services. As a community interest company (CIC), they believe they have greater freedom to innovate and adopt new and better ways of working. Grant is Board Lead for Frontline Services and will talk about the range of services Your Healthcare offer, particularly services available for older and disabled residents in Kingston living in their own homes.

Mark Davison, local author and publisher, will give a presentation about “Chessington Past”. You may know Mark for his “Remembered” series of books about Kingston, Surbiton, Hook and Tolworth in the 1950s. Consequently, Mark is extremely knowledgeable about his subject.

Please come along to our AGM – everyone welcome. You do not need to be a member to attend. Refreshments available afterwards.

Annual General Meeting 2024

CDRA Annual General Meeting

Thank you to everyone for joining us at the Chessington District Residents’ Association (CDRA) Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 25th June. Despite the heat and the England football team’s Euro match competing for attention, the meeting was well attended, and we had an informative and engaging evening.

Here’s a brief rundown:

  • Colin Punch, Chairman: Colin addressed the challenges faced by residents over the past year and CDRA’s efforts to support the community.
  • Diane Brannan, Secretary and Treasurer: Diane presented the financial accounts for the year.
  • Tiem Bang, UK Power Networks: Tiem explained the work involved and timescales on the upcoming project to replace underground power cables along the A243 from Malden Rushett to Kingston. It’s a significant project that will impact us all.
  • Claire Maillet, Fraud Prevention Expert: Claire shared insights on fraud – its types, impact, and practical tips for detection and reporting. Read Claire’s presentation.

Both speakers generated plenty of questions from the audience.

After the meeting, there was a free prize draw and many attendees stayed to chat over a cuppa.

Thank you to our speakers for their time, enthusiasm and information.

Our Annual General Meetings are usually held in June and open to everyone. You do not need to be a member to attend. The date and venue will be announced on this page and via our newsletter.

Until next time!
