Message from Ambitious about Autism Schools Trust:-
‘Help us decide the name of new autism school
The Ambitious about Autism Schools Trust is opening a new school in our area and want your help naming it!
The new special free school on Moor Lane in Chessington will support up to 90 pupils with autism aged four to 19.
The new school will provide high quality education supporting pupils to learn, thrive and achieve both in school and in preparation for life beyond school.
Each name draws on themes based around the organisation’s vision and ties into local history. Now, Ambitious about Autism Schools Trust is inviting the people of Kingston and Richmond to help make the decision.
Over the summer, Ambitious held workshops, researched the local community, explored local archives and had input from local community champions to come up with a short list of three potential school names. which are:
Gate School
Hawthorne Brook School
Spring School.
Why have these names been picked? How do they represent the local area? Visit the survey to find out more and select your favourite.
